    July 9, 2024

    Call to Order:   
    The SHRMA board meeting began at 12:15 pm at Broadway Commons. It was presided over by Bonnie Rivers, president and recorded by Heidi Hand, secretary. Heidi and Kansas attended virtually. Each board member introduced themselves and welcomed Gayle Young to the meeting.

    Minutes & Financial Report:   
    The June meeting minutes and financial report will be reviewed at the next regular board meeting.

    Appointment of New Board Member:   
    A motion was made by Priya and seconded by Jordan to elect Gayle Young as Programs Director. The motion passed unanimously.

    Officer’s Updates:
    •    Bonnie presented a programs update. The August meeting is canceled. Jennifer Bauman-Steagall is tentatively scheduled for the November meeting. She is also working on an artificial intelligence topic with a speaker from OIT and scheduling Courtney from Lane Powell. These three presentations should be scheduled for the September, October, and November meetings.
    •    Priya provided a logistics update and has canceled the room reservation for the August meeting.
    August Volcanoes Game
    •    The party desk was reserved for Thursday, August 15 at 6 pm. The $750 covers 75 tickets and additional tickets for $10 each can be purchased up to the max of 125.
    •    One ticket will be provided for SHRMA members and additional tickets can be purchased for $10 each, which will go to the SHRM Foundation.
    •    One drink ticket will be provided for each SHRM member. Heidi will work out drink tickets or gift cards with the Volcanoes.
    •    Priya will edit the event information on the website.
    •    Bonnie will create the registration link.
    •    Heidi will monitor registrations and email out the ticket PDFs to each person that registers.
    •    SHRM logo items will be ordered to give attendees at the event. Bonnie will place the order for up to $150 in either small giveaway items or several bigger items to be given away as a prize.
    •    Jordan will send an e-blast with the event details.

    Other Updates/ Announcements:
    •    Heidi mentioned that Jennifer Bauman-Steagall is speaking at the Mid-Valley chapter tomorrow. They offer virtual and in person registrations and use Event-Brite.
