"Becoming a More Strategic HR Professional"
--
This is the presentation your CEO wants you to attend.
Discover what it takes to earn even higher levels of trust and respect of your business peers and colleagues and chart a road map to get there. Presented from the CEO's perspective, this workshop will show you what's preventing your HR department from being seen as the strategic asset it deserves to be. You will be enabled to move up from "mere compliance”, to synchronize your departmental plan with the firm's strategic plan, and ultimately to help shape your organization's direction and future.
Tom will walk you step-by-step through creating higher levels of strategic impact in your organization. Every HR professional can dramatically grow their strategic impact, with almost no additional work -- what's required is to think about HR and strategy the way a CEO thinks, and to shift 5-10% of your work effort to exactly the right things.
--
The audience will help create the agenda, identify obstacles to action, and brainstorm ways to overcome those obstacles to achieving strategic impact. Each attendee will work on their own action plan, and both give and get feedback from a peer on its quality.
--
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to analyze a corporate strategy and identify the highest impact ways HR can contribute to that strategy.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to persuade their peers and boss to welcome their strategic contribution.
By the end of this session, attendees will be able to define metrics for measuring true strategic impact of new and existing HR initiatives.
