Board Meeting

November 25, 2025

Board Members in Attendance:                        

Call to Order:  

The SHRMA board meeting began at 4:00 pm virtually. It was presided over by Kansas Guthrie, president and recorded by Heidi Hand, secretary.

General Discussion:  

The idea of having an Oregon Council member assist the chapter was discussed. The board determined the additional council help was not necessary. The goal of having hard working and effective board leadership will be met this year with three new board members already in discussion about joining the board.

Kansas would like to prioritize joining the Salem Chamber of Commerce to help promote the club and build membership.

CLIF:  

The primary purpose of this meeting was to review board positions to submit the CLIF report before the deadline of November 30. The report will be submitted with Priya as Treasurer and Certifications, Gayle as Membership, Heidi as Secretary, Deborah as Programs, Gayle as Membership, Kirsty as College Relations, Alicia as Legislative, and Cecelia as Communications.

SHRM Foundation:

Kansas made a motion to send a $500 donation to the SHRM Foundation. Deborah seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

Other Business:

• A strategy meeting is scheduled for December 15 at 3 pm at the Salem Electric office.
• A year end dinner for current board members is scheduled for December 17 at Amadeus.
