Are your policies, practices, and employment agreements keeping pace with Oregon's rapidly changing employment laws?

2026 has already brought significant developments affecting employers, including updates related to wage and hour compliance, leave administration, discrimination claims, pay transparency, worker protections, restrictive covenants, and BOLI enforcement procedures.

Even well-intentioned employers can find themselves out of compliance when legislative, regulatory, and court decisions continue to reshape the employment landscape.

Join us on July 14th as employment law attorney Chris Morehead from Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt provides an update on recent Oregon employment law developments and what they mean for employers. Chris will highlight key changes, discuss practical implications, and share considerations for updating policies, practices, onboarding materials, and employment agreements.

Whether you are an HR professional, business owner, manager, or supervisor, this session will help you better understand your responsibilities and prepare your organization for the evolving legal environment.

What employment law question is keeping you up at night? Bring it with you, ask the expert and let’s have a conversation.

PLEASE NOTE: This Meeting will be virtually using Zoom. You will receive a link 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Chris Morehead is a shareholder with Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt, based out of the firm’s Bend office.  Chris’s practice has focused solely on employment law for over thirteen years, and he works with employers of all sizes, with a primary emphasis on the healthcare industry.  Chris’s practice is a healthy mix of litigation and advice work, as well as managing workplace investigations, negotiating employment and severance agreements, and whatever else the day might throw at him.

Chris is also the Oregon SHRM Legislative Director, a position he’s held since January 2025, and Chris also serves on Boards for non-profit organizations in Bend, Oregon.
