Join us for a presentation on Resilience and Reinforcement for HR Professionals!
Workplace complexity means language, interaction, and self-awareness are in a constant state of updating and adjustment. This training provides proactive understanding of professional relationship dynamics and offers immediately applicable communication tactics. With a focus on mental health, this presentation addresses recovery, compassion, and resilience as essential to overall wellbeing. Empathy best practices, de-escalation language, and "mindset reset" will all be covered.
Speaker: Nicholas Kessler. Training & Organizational Specialist from Canopy. Nicholas is originally from Traverse City, Michigan, and has called Portland, OR home since 2005. He earned a degree from Kalamazoo College, where he focused on social and educational theatre for community impact. Nicholas has been a teacher and trainer for over 20 years, working with employees, executives, and private students. On topics as varied as empathy practices to rocket science, Nicholas has worked with groups sized 4 to 400, preschoolers to Ph.D.’s. Nicholas has been working in the communication and training field since 2003, coast-to-coast, and at Canopy since 2022. At ease in front of a crowd, Nicholas specializes in compassionate de-escalation, team collaboration, presentation skills, and maximizing productivity in-the-moment. Previous trainees/students describe Nicholas’ style as, “Engaging, supportive, and professionally entertaining.”
