SHRMA Presents: Willamette University Student-Led Presentation
Presentation Overview:
We are hosting a Willamette University student-led presentation. Oshadhi Jayaweera is speaking about mental health awareness in the workplace.
Our work and workplaces significantly impact our well-being, both for the good and bad. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, a majority of US employees report mental health symptoms are made worse due to workplace conditions. Eighty-one percent of workers report that they are looking for workplaces that will support mental health in the future. In this presentation we will present and discuss the latest updates on organizational best practices for workplace mental health and well-being. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss current and future options to apply these best practices at their workplaces.
This will be an in person meeting. Lunch will be provided. Please register in advance to we can make catering arrangements.
Our Salem SHRM chapter gives Willamette University MBA Candidates an opportunity to prepare a topic and speak to our group from time to time. This year Oshadhi Jayaweera will be presenting. She is an international student from Sri Lanka and is currently in her first year of the MBA program at Willamette University.
