Presented by:
Nicole Elgin, an attorney at Barran Liebman LLP, represents employers in traditional labor and employment law matters. Nicole’s labor practice ranges from negotiating collective bargaining agreements to representing employers in hearings before arbitrators, the Oregon Employment Relations Board, and the National Labor Relations Board. Nicole’s employment law practice includes working with employers to adapt workplace policies to the latest legislative changes at the state and national levels. Prior to joining Barran Liebman, Nicole was a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael H. Simon at the United States District Court for the District of Oregon.
Chris Morgan is an attorney at Barran Liebman LLP, where he works closely with clients to help them navigate the complexities of employment law. Chris’ practice focuses on the defense of employment related claims, including claims alleging hostile work environment, wrongful termination, retaliation, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour violations.
In addition to his litigation experience, Chris is a frequent speaker and author in a variety of media, including The Oregonian, The Portland Tribune, The Spokesman Review, The Columbian, Northwest Lawyer Magazine, and Cascade Business News. Chris is passionate about helping businesses succeed, and provides interactive employee trainings on topics related to management, employment law, legal policy, and compliance.
Chris graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from Washington State University and his J.D., cum laude, from the Gonzaga University School of Law, where he received the Dean’s Distinguished Achievement Scholarship, the Meritorious Distinction Scholarship, and was the Class Commencement Speaker.”
